A cornflowers basket card

Ciao!!!

Hello!!! Today I'd like to talk about a really cute and fun die: the "Scissor Spring Mechanisms".

This die offers so many solutions, and about this purpose I refer you to this post here on the blog of Elizabeth Craft designs, where you can get lots of ideas because each member of the design team has used it differently. I used it under a paper basket, and earn in this way the extra space and be able to insert my paper cornflowers!

I cut and colored the basket, Garden Notes - Gathering Basket, and I glued the shorter one of the Scissor Spring Mechanisms dies on the back. The idea is therefore to create a three-dimensional basket.

I used a 6 x 6 "patterned sheet of paper as the basis of the card, and in the middle I made the vertical cut where to insert the mechanism. I put only a little of glue in the base of the basket, to make it remain attached to the sheet. The upper part has instead been detached to have more room inside.

I cut, colored and shaped several cornflower blossoms, Garden Notes - Cornflower Bachelor Button, and some branch of berry, Garden Notes - Berry Spray. I glued the flowers, the sprigs of berries and the various leaves on the card.

Finally I decorated the basket with some embellishments, such as a bow of string and a little bit of grass and little field flower. I glued the sheet on a white card where to write my message and I created an envelope to insert it. And this is the final result.
